Essential eligibility: An active IEEE Membership and an active IEEE Control Systems Society Membership

If you are interested in becoming a member and you satisfy the above essential eligibility, please send your request to Dr. Abhinav Sinha (sinhaab@ucmail.uc.edu) and include the following information in your email:

  1. Your full name, current affiliation, and contact information.
  2. Your IEEE Membership number and any other relevant membership details.
  3. A brief description of your technical background, interests and alignment to the scope of the committee.

  1. Launch of TC's X (previously Twitter) Account: Please also follow us at @IEEECSS_TC_MARC X (previously Twitter) to stay connected.
  2. Volunteers needed for TC Planning Subcommittee: Volunteers are sought who can lead the development of roadmaps and activities towards TC evaluation and long-term goals. Please send your nominations to Dr. Yongcan Cao (the TC Chair) at yongcan.cao@utsa.edu.
  3. New members for the Editorial Board (CCTA) to start operating from January 2024: Nominations are sought by the IEEE CSS for the Conference Editorial Board in CCTA. Members who have at least three years of experience after Ph.D. or equivalent experience, and demonstrate expertise in some of the application domain, e.g., aerospace, automotive, robotics, manufacturing, naval, power system, bio/(bio)medical, process/chemical, etc. are encouraged to apply. Please send your nominations to Dr. Yongcan Cao (the TC Chair) at yongcan.cao@utsa.edu.

TC Outstanding Student Paper Prize

 

Eligibility: Papers presented at CDC or CCTA (CSS as the principal sponsor) in research areas observed by the TC with a student (also a TC member) as the primary author. The primary author must maintain a student status at the time of paper submission.

Nomination and Selection:

  1. Nomination and selection take place January-May annually.
  2. Any TC member can nominate one paper to the prize through an email to the TC chair.
  3. The email should state: (1) the student is the primary author of the paper, and (2) the paper has not been nominated for any other TC prize.
  4. Both nominators and nominees should be TC members at the time of the nomination.
  5. The winner will be announced, and the certificate will be presented at our TC-sponsored event.
  6. The winner and the winning paper, together with winners of other TCs, will also be published in the IEEE Control System Magazine.
  7. Deadline for nomination is early March annually.
